Accessibility statement.
Security software should be usable by everyone who has to operate it. This is the standard this website is built against and what to do if we fall short of it.
Statement
What we build to.
- Target standard
- This site is built against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We describe it as a target we design and test to, not as a certified or independently audited conformance claim.
- Colour and contrast
- Body and interface text is checked against AA contrast ratios on the dark palette. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed — status is also carried by label or shape.
- Keyboard operation
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible cobalt focus indicator, a skip-to-content link, and focus trapped inside dialogs while they are open.
- Structure and semantics
- Pages use landmark regions, a single H1, ordered headings, real lists and tables, labelled form controls, and descriptive alternative text on meaningful imagery.
- Motion
- Animation is restrained by design and is disabled entirely for visitors whose system requests reduced motion. Nothing on the site auto-plays audio, flashes, or hijacks scrolling.
- Responsive and zoom
- Layouts are composed for phone, tablet and desktop, remain usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling, and use touch targets of at least 44px.
- Known limitations
- Some technical diagrams convey structure visually; each is accompanied by text that carries the same meaning, and we continue to improve their screen-reader descriptions.
- Feedback
- If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way. We aim to respond within five working days.
