Trust // Cookies & data protection
Cookies, consent and your rights.
This page explains every cookie category wardog.ai can set, the lawful basis for each, how long the choice lasts, and how to exercise your rights under the UK and EU GDPR.
Consent model
Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set before you make a choice. On a first visit the site presents a consent dialog, with all non-essential categories switched off by default. Refusing is a single action, exactly as prominent as accepting.
Your decision is recorded locally in your browser with a timestamp and a version number, so we can show that consent was freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. If the categories change, the record is invalidated and you are asked again.
You can review or change your choice at any time: .
Categories
| Category | Lawful basis | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Legitimate interest — PECR / ePrivacy exemption | Site delivery, security, and storing the cookie choice you make. | Session, or 12 months for the stored consent record. |
| Preferences | Consent — Art. 6(1)(a) UK/EU GDPR | Remembering non-essential interface choices between visits. | Up to 12 months, or until you withdraw consent. |
| Analytics & performance | Consent — Art. 6(1)(a) UK/EU GDPR | Aggregated page and performance measurement to improve this website. | Up to 12 months, or until you withdraw consent. |
Where a category is switched off, the corresponding scripts and storage are not loaded at all — consent is enforced before loading, not after.
